RBL Designs wins first place prize at the 2024 Seaglass Awards

A home theatre in Winter Garden, Florida that is reminiscent of lavish theatres from Old Hollywood’s gilded heyday, won a first place prize in the prestigious 2024 Seaglass Awards competition sponsored by Florida Design magazine. Interior designer Nily Londeree, owner of White Heron Designs LLC, and custom builder Brad Londeree, CEO of RBL Designs Inc, were honored for their design and construction of the 396-square foot theatre. The award was given in the traditional/transitional theatre category.

The Seaglass Awards were announced at an awards dinner on May 9. The home theatre, located in a glamorous accessory building for home entertaining on a four-acre estate in Winter Garden, has a 186-inch movie screen, a custom designed and backlit bar made of Cristallo quartz, authentic padded and backlit double theatre doors, plush red theatre recliners, and a Dolby Atmos audio system. Rich dark wood paneling, patterned carpeting, and a knotty alder wood beamed ceiling treatment complete the retro look.

Nily Londeree also designed all of the accessory building’s custom millwork, which won an Honorable Mention in the Seaglass Awards, and collaborated with her husband Brad, and with a millwork manufacturing firm on its installation.
